Aiuto nella ricerca di un cabinato universale.

Messaggio da kante »

Ciao!

(Mi dispiace, non parlo italiano, quindi uso di Google Translate. Spero che tu capisca me :) )

Voglio Gabinetto trasformato in MAME gabinetto. Purtroppo non so quello che cerco. Su Ebay & Co non trovo questo dispositivo, purtroppo.

Molte grazie per l'aiuto!
Mike

Ciao!

I am sorry, i don't speak italien, so i am using google translate (and also writing in englisch ;) ). I hope you can understand me anyays!

I am looking for an arcade cabinet, that was pretty common during the 80s and 90s, at least in northern italy. It's a universal cabinet and i saw it mostly in bars and restaurants, it's a pretty small (jamma?) cabinet. Since maybe 10 years or so, those cabinets have completely vanished.

Does anyone know the name and manufacturer of these cabinets? I would love to transform one of these into a Mame-Cabinet, but without the name, i don't even know what i have to look for on ebay & co...

Maybe & Hopefully someone around here can help me? :)

Regards & Thanks!
Mike

Hi Mike, and welcome!
To get some help you should provide some information, because in the 80s/90s there's been hundreds of cabinet models and manufacturers around! :)
Do you remember some details? Colours, marquee, monitor size..?

.. And of course, good luck! ;)

Edit: btw, is the cab in the pictures the one you're lookin for (you didn't mention about it)?
I'm from northern Italy, but I'm afraid I've never seen one like that before..

Of course! I remember it was a universal cabinet, and it was pretty small. It is pretty similar to a Hellomat Universal Cabinet. but it's got different details:

- Not sure about the Monitor... I think it could have been a 21 or maybe 24 inch Monitor. There was a glass pane perpendicular in front of the monitor, where the monitor itself was mounted way tilted back, kinda diagonally (hard to explain ^^).
- The cab was black, but they usually had a red/blue color scheme on it's side (they also used other colors/schemes too, though)
- They usually just had a "3-Pushbutton" Layout and were normally used for those classic kind of games: Tetris, 1942, Pong, and such...
- I think they were made Pre-Jamma, but could be used with a jamma-adapter.
.. And of course, good luck! ;)

Jup, it's the cab from the picture. I rarely see them online somewhere (The picture is taken from arcadecontrols.net, but the Guy who converted that cab isn't online anymore, so i can't just ask him). I don't know if these Cabs were very common (i'm afraid not), but as i said, i've seen them A LOT during my youth when we visited Italy (at least from the mid-80s to the late 90s). To be specific, i've seen them around Jesolo, Caorle, Cavallino and Venice...

Hopefully, someone has an Idea for me... :)

Regards & Thanks!
Mike
