Even though we had copied the settings to the logon screens, and even if we have black or transparent pointers, we still can see the standard white pointer show up for a millisecond during the boot process. I have heard many people consider this as an issue without any solution. However, there is a way to fix it: edit user32.dll and replace the embedded pointer with a black or transparent version. Modifying user32.dll can be risky, so be careful. Run Resource Hacker, and open up user32.dll (system32 folder). Left folder tree, cursor, 52. Menu action, replace cursor. Menu save as... and save user32.dll in a different folder or drive. Now, open Replacer. Drag the original user32.dll file to the command window and press enter. Then drag the modified file. Enter. Windows may then complain about important files being replaced and will ask you to restore the original files. Ignore that. You do really want the modified file. Restart Windows for the change to take effect.
