How do I properly set up my pc to my hdtv with a vga cable while finding the right resolution? I have my computer hooked up with just a vga port on the back of my hdtv (720p tv). But the only problem I have is finding the right resolution, the one i think is right always cuts of the side of the screen and I don't know how to fix it.

Ususally with HDTV, to have right resolutions you have to use an HDMI cable (if your VGA card hasn't it, you have to buy a vga-hdmi adapter). Using VGA port, you will have resolution limitations.

To get rid of the black borders, you have to work with overscan values (see drivers control panels).
