La mia intenzione era quella di aggiungere solo le rom che meritano ma strada facendo sto modificando la mia idea e......caricherò di lavoro i betatester

la divisione tra rom con una reale differenza,rom con piccole modifiche video,audio ecc ecc si possono fare creado delle liste in cui suddividere i giochi, anche perchè ammassati tutti dentro la cartella extra games creano un po' di confusione.
Questo lavoro lo lascerò ai betatester

prima però c'è da decidere in che modo suddividere i giochi

Volendo si possono creare 2 romset diversi, uno con tutto e l'altro solo con i migliori giochi hack.
Come al solito accetto sempre consigli da tutti....in fin dei conti non è stato rilasciato niente quindi siamo sempre in tempo per le modifiche

Non sai cosa ti perdi, forse non conosci i decrypt/decrypted che sono versioni a se
a prescindere da clone non clone (parent a se) io tra ULTRA MAME REVOLUTION e
FINAL BURN ALPHA SHUFFLE che continuo ad aggiornare continuamente ho tutte
queste roms che sono veramente belle, esempio decrypt C e decrypt D.

Cmq è la lista available che ognuno può gestire come vuole,
non rimuovere nulla da working, not working e all games.
Lascia che l'emulatore riconosca tutto il romset,
tanto chi utilizza il mio romset ha solo il possibile giocabile,
ovvero ha una mia integralità alternativa a quella originale.

Non eliminare, non escludere nulla, SI nell'aggiungere NO nel togliere.

P.S. cortesemente mi puoi mostrare una lista attuale di tutte le roms che hai aggiunto,
quelle che non ho condiviso nel mio romset le devo aggiornare con questo emulatore per
poterle condividere, se consenti di realizzare le roms te le sistemo correttamente e te le passo

Esempio Metal Slug 4 Decrypted C in cosa differisce rispetto all'originale?

Sono versioni che adoro perché hanno qualcosa di diverso dall'originale,
teoricamente dovrebbero trattarsi di versioni sbloccate: più scenari,
più nemici, più personaggi, qualche livello in più o di ordine diverso.

Non ricordo se i decypted sono tutti degli hack o se sono delle versioni a se,
ovvero una vera estensione del gioco originale, li ho sempre amati
e tuttora li amo ancora, sono roms che non possono essere escluse!!!

Purtroppo i DEV odiano queste roms perché in parte buttano giù la
versione originale, nel senso che può piacere più questa versione che la
versione originale, poi non ricordo i veri motivi, cmq io amo i decrypt

Posso capire che ad un purista non stia bene veder "rovinato" il gioco in quel modo, sono assimilabili ai cheat direi.
Però a me piace tutto... passo da una pcb rigorosamente non bootleg ad un hack di Mario in tuta rosa!!

Mi segno questi giochi e poi li proverò, magari aggiungo una sezione nel cab proprio con queste versioni alternative.

Il Mame non finisce mai di stupire!

le rom non hanno bisogno di essere sistemate ed ovviamente le posseggo già tutte altrimenti non potrei testarne il funzionamento corretto

Le roms decrypted aggiornatissime all'attuale versione di MAME
le puoi trovare solo nel mio romset di ULTRA MAME REVOLUTION
oppure qui mediante Final Burn Alpha Shuffle

che ho aggiornato proprio adesso ad una nuovissima
revisione in sintonia con il MAME 0.157.

Giocando con FBA Shuffle puoi impostare in Full Screen e persino
scegliere un effetto shader, i migliori sono SuperEagle e HQ3s

Non scaricare da gametronik o emuparadise perché sono molto
vecchie, risalgono alla lontana 0.144 o forse anche più indietro.
Solo io le condivido complete e aggiornate per le attuali versioni di MAME.

Sono riuscito a fargli applicare delle patch,

Se posso permettermi (ma sarei lieto di essere smentito) le rom decrypted sono uguali alle rom originali.
I giochi NeoGeo hanno rom di diverse tipologie (V, P, S, C, M) e i giochi più recenti hanno alcune o tutte queste rom criptate per motivi di antipirateria. Quando vennero inizialmente emulate non si conosceva l'algoritmo di protezione e quindi le uniche rom funzionanti erano le decrypted. Poi l'algoritmo venne scoperto e aggiunto al MAME. Ora il MAME decrypta le rom al volo al momento del lancio del gioco e mentre si gioca nella memoria del PC c'è una rom decrypted (infatti alcuni emulatori tipo Final Burn, hanno una opzione che permette al momento del lancio di salvare una copia della rom in versione decrypted a partire da quella protetta).
Uniche differenze nell'usare una rom decrypted? Qualche microsecondo di rapidità in più nel caricare la rom (si salta infatti il passaggio di decodifica), cosa che si nota di più su pc vecchi (tipo Pentium 2).
Quindi non ha senso tenere entrambe le rom (salvo finalità di collezionismo, che fanno però aumentare le dimensioni del set): o si scelgono le criptate o le decrypted.
Se ci fossero differenze oggettive, lieto di essere smentito.

Ad ulteriore completezza sulle rom NeoGeo:

Le rom V contengono la grafica
Le rom S contengono musica ed effetti sonori
Le rom P (non ricordo bene) contengono il codice di esecuzione del gioco

La rom M mi pare abbia a che fare con la protezione

Comunque se leggete il file del codice sorgente del MAME del driver NeoGeo è tutto spiegato

Quindi in sintesi queste roms dovrebbero
essere antecedenti alle roms originali
però resta il fatto che alcune sono degli hack
non tutte sono dei decrypt originali.

Ci sono decrypt originali e decrypt che sono in realtà degli hack,
cmq a mio parere queste roms meritano di essere collezionate proprio
come faccio io perché non le si possono escludere, le ritengo importanti...

pure io sapevo che i decrypted non hanno niente in piu' delle rom originali almeno giocandoci poi quando si parla di decrypt mi bvengono in mente gli anni del FINAL BURN di DAVE e le decriptazione dei primi giochi CPS2 da parte di RAZOOLA ,tenevo controllato quotidianamente il suo sito CPSHOCK per vedere se era uscito un decript per poi scaricarmi la roms e giocarla sul FINALBURN costantemente aggiornato per il supporto della nuova rom che poi era l'unico emulatore che le facesse girare ;bei tempi quelli oggi sinceramente parere personale il FINAL BURN non abbia senso visto che le roms che fa girare sono supportate anche dal mame

225 rom è un numero davvero alto

Sicuramente terrò una copia di questo Mame (sperando di riuscire a pezzarlo per Linux) e con tutte le rom hack supportate, ma non credo di avere il tempo per seguirle di versione in versione... già fatico a compilare l'ultima uscita e a fare qualche partitella ogni tanto

Per le rom decrypted non ho avuto modo di indagare bene ma per il momento non ho visto alcuna differenza rispetto alle normali.
Forse solo alcune sono state personalizzate mentre le restanti sono identiche all'originale.
Approfondirò, ma più avanti...
