Hai provato a disabilitare la generazione automatica delle modelines?

Se intendi il parametro modelines si.. l'ho messo da 1 a 0 ma non cambia nulla.. qualsiasi modifica nel file ini non influisce minimamente.. sunset riders gira dal 400 al 450 %.

Hai provato anche con giochi verticali?
Qui e qui trovi la spiegazione di Calamity riguardo ad un mio vecchio problema simile al tuo; però io ero su linux e non so se si possa fare lo stesso ragionamento anche per windows.

This happens when vsync hardware functionality fails or is not available. GroovyMAME relies on vsync enterely in order to keep the game throttle.

When GroovyMAME is able to create the game's native refresh you get this kind of log:

However, when GroovyMAME is not able to generate the right refresh, which is the case of many vertical games rotated, then vsync is disable and -throttle is used instead. So these games cannot be considered.

A buggy v-sync only affects the first group of games (most).

Probably the combination of the new ATI driver, SDL, etc. is not working fine.

Prova a postare il log di groovymame (nel prompt dei comandi esegui "groovymame.exe -v -md 4 romname > log.txt" e ti verrà creato un file "log.txt" contenente il log).

Potresti provare ad usare il "mame.ini" di Kernel, così vediamo se è un problema legato alla tua configurazione.

Posso provare ma non credo sia colpa della configurazione.
Ho provato sia con una radeo 9250 che con una 9600.
La cosa strana è che modificando qualsiasi parametro non cambia niente.
Anche disattivando la generazione delle modeline va uguale.
Sto quasi pensando che si legga un file ini che si è creato da qualche parte lui.. boh..

Anche Kernel ha avuto un problema di "doppia configurazione": in pratica aveva un "mame.ini" (con configurazioni sbagliate) che veniva caricato al posto di quello corretto.

Giusto! Verifica che nella cartella mame\INI non sia presente un altro mame.ini (ha priorità rispetto a quello nella root).

Mi serve anche il nome della rom che hai avviato, quale sistema operativo usi e il modello del monitor; poi posto il tuo problema su arcadecontrols.

La rom é Ssridersabd ma lo fa con tutti. Il pc è un core duo montato su una asrock 4coredualsata e una radeon 9600 xp sp3. Per adesso uso una tv con cavo vga-scart e driver calamity.
Mettendo "pal" nel parametro monitor il gioco gira alla velocità (quasi) corretta ma la risoluzione resta quella fissa di 768x576 intrelacciata.
Se riesco provo con un pc piu vecchio e vediamo come va.
Chiedo scusa per il lunghissimo post di prima ma non riusciva ad allegare il log.txt.
