Just a note: if any of you are using a Hantarex MTC 9110, try modifying the HfreqMax value in VMMaker.ini:

HfreqMax = 16.670
(default is 16.200)

Then run VMMaker again to redo the modelines and reboot. This will let you use the whole Hantarex hfreq range, that's wider that the usual CGA range. This way you will be able to run 1942 and such games (256 lines) at full 60 Hz :)

(you may need to tweak slightly your hfreq potenciometer to get it synced)

For Frogger, Galaxian, ect. bear in mind that new versions of Mame report a wrong resolution for these games, CabMame has a patch specifically for them.

This monitor only has this capabilities?
Can I try that on my monitor or it's dangerosus? I have an "Intervideo VP Series", the manual says: Horizontal scan freq. 15.625Khz +/- 500Hz.

Hantarex manual says something similar: 15.625 +- 0.5 kHz adjustable, so it could be the same for your Intervideo.
For what I've seen, that means that you have a "window" of 1 KHz width (+-0.5 kHz), so you can move it up or down with hfreq potenciomenter, so I tweak it to have it open for 15.650-16.670 (more or less). I can't promise you it won't break your monitor, but... mine has been working with that for some years now with no problem, and anyway these crts are protected so if you see it can't sync just exit and it won't be bad at all unless you have it like that for hours I believe.

This change works on ini files or adds some new modeline in the video driver? (I don't see *x256@60Hz resolutions)

Se dovessero servirmi altre risoluzioni le aggiungerò tramite winmodelines e le tarerò con l'ottimo Arcade_OSD.

It will add new modes and set the right inis up to point them. You don't have those resolutions now because hfreq is limited to 16.200 KHz by default, when you run VMMaker with 16.670 value your modeline list will change, some of the modes that now could only reach 59 Hz will be recalculated to 60 Hz.

Ho un problema. Ho aggiornato il mame (dalla 126 alla 141, un bel salto) ed ho messo CabMame.
Adesso però i giochi verticali sopra le 288 linee me li mette "piccoli" al centro dello schermo. Ho rilanciato il VMMaker, ma non cambia nulla. Ho anche provato a forzare un ini del mame a 640x480 (19xx war for destiny) con HW stretch e aspect ratio attivato ma non cambia nulla. Come se non leggesse più le opzioni dell'ini. Mah...
Qualcuno ha idea di cosa fare per riavere i verticali >di 288 normali? Grazie.

Mi rispondo da solo. <-on_redface-> Era il CabMame: ho installato MameFx e li aggancia tutti regolarmente.
