mi chiamo Alex e sono tedesco di colonia. Ho studiato l´italiano a la scuola ma solo per un anno, non parlo molto bene...
So better we switch to english from here. I´m collecting Arcade Cabinets since 3 or 4 years now, I have a basement where 23 of my machines are located right now. I startet off with a MAME cabinet, but soon that was´n enough. I got tired of plugin from PC to Jamma PCBs and Atomiswave so I needed some more cabs
So one came to another and soon I had a whole collection.
My favourites are my Mame Cabinet, an original Galaxian which I plan to convert to a Pac-Man, and my latest addition: A Sega Scud Race Twin.
I´m in contact with germany´s arcade dealers and collectors, as for my real life - I´m a multimedia producer, working for an agency here in the city. I do have some arcade-related websites:
www.pimpmycab.net
My personal site, still under development because I often lack the time for my own stuff...
Be sure to visit the section "arcade collection" -> "cabinets" to see some of my cabs.
A nice project though: http://www.pimpmycab.net/gng/
where we convertet and re-programmed a Super Ghouls´n Ghosts to a real Arcade-Version
(sorry - all sites are in german, but I´ll translate any section for you if you like to know more about anything)
www.arcade-tv.de
this will be an arcade-related TV Station, I have a deal with CoinOp-TV from the US and some others.
www.world-of-arcade.de
a shop I made for a german arcade seller
My current projects:
- Converting an original GALAXIAN to a Pac-Man with licensed sidearts from http://www.twobits.com
- Cleaning up some cabs
- Build a 4 Player Cabinet from an Atari Showcase 33 machine
Well, so know you might think like "What is he doing in an italian arcade forum" ?!
The answer is simple...
I´m searching for some Information about a Cab I just bought,
check out those pics from the eBay-auction: http://www.arcade-tv.de/roadsedge
I´m desperately looking for a manual. The Company who manufactured this baby is located in Italy: GEVIN.
I can´t use the US manual, because the machine is completely different.
So I was hoping to find someone who has the manual.
Well, that´s it about me...
I´m really looking forward to join the Italian community, because when I was little my parents always took me to cesenatico, where I played my first arcade games in the 80´s. My favourites where Ghosts´n Goblins, Ghouls´n Ghosts, Final Fight, the Simpsons, Bubble Bobble, Toki, Rainbow Islands, Super Pang and Street Fighter II.
That´s when it all started...
Auguri,
Alex.
